About the Directress

Karen Black's interest in Montessori Education began when all three of her children attended Montessori Schools.  While living in London, England in 1997 she earned her A.M.I. primary diploma from The Maria Montessori International School where she studied with people from all over the world.

In addition, she holds a M.A. from NYU in Theatre Education and undergraduate work in Dance & Music from the University of South Florida.  Karen has written, produced & published two record albums.  She has directed and taught children in the areas of Music, Dance, English, and Physical Education.

She holds certifications as a Lifeguard Instructor LGI, First Aid, and CPR PRO for the adult, child & infant, and fitness certifications from the American Council & American Academy of Health and Fitness Professionals. Karen is currently working on a children's collection of songs.
